22nd Princess Daisy Festival announcement – tickets on sale now!

Even though the Sudeten Philharmonic’s 47th season will come to an end on the 20th of June, music lovers won’t have to wait long for new cultural events in Wałbrzych. Just a week later, the 22nd Princess Daisy Festival will begin. The Sudeten Philharmonic is both the main host and organizer of this event. On Friday, April 4th a press conference was held announcing this year’s festival, which will last from June 26th to 29th.

The following people took part in the press conference: Joanna Kawalec – Sudeten Philharmonic’s director, Marcin Markowicz – Princess Daisy Festival artistic director as well as representatives of the festival’s partners: Książ Castle, Puppet and Actor Theatre in Wałbrzych and IN SITU Modern Art Foundation from Sokołowsko.

Last year’s edition of the festival brought many changes and plans for its development and expansion. It was then that some of the festival’s events took place in Sokołowsko. In doing that, the festival became more accessible to audiences in Dolny Śląsk.

Despite it’s over twenty-year history and many changes that were implemented along the way, the essence of the festival remained unchanged. Princess Daisy Festival still aims to promote different forms of art and their beauty, all immersed in music.

22nd Princess Daisy Festival includes 8 different cultural events – a symphonic concert, audiovisual event, musical play, chamber concerts and a workshop. Among the artists who will perform during the festival are well known names such as: Agnieszka Franków-Żelazny, Anna Bernacka, Polifonija Choir from Lithuania, Cezary Kosiński, Marcin Markowicz, Szymon Krzeszowiec, Maniucha Bikont, Assaf Talmudi and Szczepan Pospieszalski.

The realization of the festival was possible thanks to grants that the Sudeten Philharmonic received from The Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and from Wałbrzych municipality.

Princess Daisy Festival artistic director is Marcin Markowicz.

The Princess Daisy Festival is the third festival that became a permanent addition to the Sudeten Philharmonic program. Besides that, the institution houses the Christmas Festival and Brass Plus Festival.
